Women’s History Month – an astounding community
March is Women’s History Month! I love that we get a month to celebrate, but just like I feel some type of way about having a month to celebrate Black History, it’s the same for Women’s History. Women are such an integral part of the world. We can nurture and correct, we can support and take charge, we can follow and we can lead, we can carry babies and we can care for other babies, we can grow a human in our body for 9 months and we can be a mother to a child that someone else carried for 9 months. Celebrating Black History Month
February is Black History Month! Whoohoo! It is the shortest month! Black History used to be a week, so having a full month is a step in the right direction, I guess. My story is not unique, but I want to use my voice to...
My story is not unique, but it is my story

Let’s just say I had to confirm through prayer a few times that this is what I was called to do. I’m in awe of what happens when you realize your story is not just for you. As I have shared my story I have met people who have a similar story, people who were hurting and needed encouragement, or simply people who wanted to meet a person who didn’t just want to share and show the highlights. Sharing my story did not always come easy for me. For a long time, I carried guilt and shame. I didn’t want anyone to feel sorry for me (I...
